Sir Jeffry Wyatville RA war ein englischer Architekt und Gartengestalter. Als Jeffry Wyatt in eine etablierte Dynastie von Architekten geboren, wurde ihm 1824 von König Georg IV. erlaubt, seinen Nachnamen in Wyatville (häufig fälschlich als Wyattville geschrieben) zu ändern. Er ist hauptsächlich für die Umbauten und Erweiterungen von Chatsworth House und Windsor Castle bekannt. Jeffry wurde am 3. August 1766 in Burton upon Trent geboren, das erste überlebende Kind von Joseph (1739–1785) und Myrtilla Wyatt, die kurz nach Jeffrys Geburt starb. Er wurde an der Grammar School in Burton upon Trent ausgebildet. Kurz nach dem Tod seines Vaters begann Wyatville seine architektonische Ausbildung im Büro seines Onkels Samuel Wyatt. Er blieb bei Samuel bis 1792, als er von den Midlands in das Büro seines Onkels James Wyatt in der Queen Anne Street in London zog. Später vollendete er das gotische Ashridge in Hertfordshire nach dem Tod seines Onkels James im Jahr 1813. Wyatville sandte von 1786 bis 1822 jedes Jahr Entwürfe an die Royal Academy und danach weniger häufig. His largest commission, the remodelling of Windsor Castle begun in 1824, when Parliament voted £300,000 for the purpose. The eventual cost was over £1,000,000 (a quarter of which covered furnishing). A competition was held between four invited architects, Wyatville, Robert Smirke, John Nash and John Soane, the architects (with the exception of Soane who withdrew from the competition) submitted their designs, in June Wyatville was announced as the winner. The foundation stone was laid on 12 August 1824 by King George IV at what would become the George IV gateway. Wyatville took up residence in the Winchester Tower in the castle in 1824 and would use it for the rest of his life. Eventually the Upper Ward of the Castle would be reconstructed. It was while at Windsor that he designed Golden Grove, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire for the 1st Earl Cawdor, completed 1834, and its 'sister house' Lilleshall Hall in Shropshire for the 1st Duke of Sutherland, completed 1829. Er wurde 1828 von Georg IV. zum Ritter geschlagen. Er wurde am 25. Februar 1840 in der St.-Georgs-Kapelle auf Windsor Castle beigesetzt, nachdem er am 18. Februar verstorben war.
