Suzuki Harunobu
Pioneiro da gravura colorida
Suzuki Harunobu foi um designer japonês de gravuras em madeira no estilo ukiyo-e. Foi um inovador, sendo o primeiro a produzir gravuras em cores completas (nishiki-e) em 1765, tornando obsoletos os modos anteriores de impressão em duas e três cores. Harunobu utilizou muitas técnicas especiais e retratou uma ampla variedade de temas, desde poemas clássicos até belezas contemporâneas. Tal como muitos artistas da sua época, Harunobu também produziu várias shunga, ou imagens eróticas. Durante a sua vida e logo após a sua morte, muitos artistas imitaram o seu estilo. Alguns, como Harushige, chegaram mesmo a gabar-se da sua capacidade de falsificar as obras do grande mestre. Muito sobre a vida de Harunobu permanece desconhecido.
