Teodoro J. Richardson
Famoso per paesaggi dell'Alaska
Nato a Readfield, nel Maine, Theodore Jerome Richardson è cresciuto a Red Wing, nel Minnesota. Dopo il liceo, ha studiato alla Boston Normal Art School prima di tornare in Minnesota, dove ha insegnato arte, calligrafia e geometria al Minnesota State Normal College di Winona. Nel 1880, Richardson fu assunto dalle Scuole Pubbliche di Minneapolis come sovrintendente al disegno industriale. Padre fondatore e membro charter della Società delle Belle Arti di Minneapolis nel 1883, ebbe la sua prima retrospettiva postuma nel 1928. Richardson è soprattutto noto per i suoi dipinti dell'Alaska, che realizzò durante le estati a partire dal 1884.
