セオドア・J・リチャードソン
アラスカ風景画で有名
セオドア・ジェローム・リチャードソンはメイン州リードフィールドで生まれ、ミネソタ州レッドウィングで育ちました。高校卒業後、ボストン師範美術学校で学び、その後ミネソタ州に戻り、ウィノナにあるミネソタ州立師範大学で美術、習字、幾何学を教えました。 1880年、リチャードソンはミネアポリス公立学校の産業図画監督官として採用されました。1883年に設立されたミネアポリス美術協会の創設メンバーかつ charter member であり、1928年に没後初の回顧展が開催されました。リチャードソンは、1884年から夏ごとに描いたアラスカの絵画で最も知られています。
