西奧多·J·理查森
以阿拉斯加風景畫聞名
西奧多·傑羅姆·理查森出生於緬因州里德菲爾德，在明尼蘇達州雷德溫長大。高中畢業後，他就讀於波士頓師範藝術學校，隨後返回明尼蘇達州，在位於威諾納的明尼蘇達州立師範學院教授藝術、書法和幾何學。 1880年，理查森被明尼阿波利斯公立學校聘為工業繪畫主管。他是1883年成立的明尼阿波利斯美術協會的創始元老和特許會員，並於1928年舉辦了首次死後回顧展。理查森最為人所知的是他的阿拉斯加畫作，這些作品是他從1884年開始在夏季創作的。
