色彩优美的写实意风风景画
托马斯·哈特利·克罗梅克是一位英国艺术家。克罗梅克于1809年8月8日出生，是雕刻家罗伯特·哈特利·克罗梅克之子。他曾在韦克菲尔德的伊诺克·哈里森学校接受教育；随后就读于富尔内克的摩拉维亚学校和韦克菲尔德文法学校，最后又回到哈里森的学校。 他最初的艺术课程师从韦克菲尔德的肖像画家詹姆斯·亨特，但于1826年前往利兹，在颇具才华的艺术家约瑟夫·罗德斯门下学习风景画，并自学了解剖绘图。 1830年，他决定前往意大利研习大师之作。他途经比利时、莱茵兰地区、瑞士和佛罗伦萨，最终抵达罗马，并因其出色的素描技艺和严谨的色彩运用而迅速引起关注。从1831年到1849年，除了两次短暂访问英格兰外，克罗梅克将时间花在游历并绘制意大利和希腊的主要建筑及风景如画的风光上。 1860年，他全票当选为水彩画新学会的副会员，随后隐退至韦克菲尔德，并于1873年在长期而痛苦的病痛中去世。他的画作主要收藏于皇家及私人藏家手中，因其色彩之美和对自然的忠实再现而备受推崇。
