Utagawa Kunimaru
Utagawa pupil and haikai poet
Kunimaru Utagawa was born in 1794 in Edo (today Tokyo). He became one of the pupils of Toyokuni I, the head of the Utagawa school. This entitled him to carry the name of Utagawa. It is known that he was also active as a haikaipoet.
