Utagawa Toyohiro
Pioniere delle stampe ukiyo-e
Utagawa Toyohiro (歌川豊広, nome di nascita Okajima Tōjiro) fu un artista ukiyo-e e pittore giapponese. Fu membro della scuola Utagawa e studiò sotto Utagawa Toyoharu, il fondatore della scuola. Le sue opere includono diverse serie di paesaggi ukiyo-e, nonché molte rappresentazioni delle attività quotidiane nel quartiere dei divertimenti di Yoshiwara; molte delle sue caratteristiche stilistiche aprirono la strada a Hokusai e Hiroshige (quest'ultimo era un prodigio che studiò sotto Toyohiro, diventando uno dei migliori artisti paesaggisti), oltre a produrre una importante serie di trittici ukiyo-e in collaborazione con Toyokuni, e numerose illustrazioni di libri e e-hon, che lo impegnarono nei suoi ultimi anni.
