Mastered Ming ink plum blossoms

Wang Qian(王謙) (exact birth and death years unknown), styled Mu Zhi(牧之) and also known as Binghu Daoren(冰壺道人), was from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and was a painter during the Ming Dynasty, roughly active from the Yongle to the Zhengde period. He was good at painting plum blossoms, inheriting Wang Mian's 'flourishing flowers' style. His brushwork was ancient and strong, with a subtle charm that made his plum blossoms uniquely delightful. He was as well-known as Chen Xianzhang from Yin County. Some of his surviving works include 'Exalting the Best Among Flowers,' 'Ink Plum Blossoms,' and 'Ice Soul, Cold Stamen.'
