Watanabe Nobukazu
Famoso por sus grabados de guerra
Diseñador de estampas y pintor de Tokio. Considerado el mejor alumno de Yōshū Chikanobu (1838-1912), trabajó en una variedad de géneros, desde imágenes de mujeres hermosas (biinga) hasta vistas famosas del Tokio en modernización (kaika-e), incluyendo representaciones de exposiciones industriales nacionales, retratos del emperador y la emperatriz, y estampas de guerra sobre las guerras chino-japonesa y ruso-japonesa (senso-e). Quizás sea más conocido por sus estampas de guerra. Durante la guerra chino-japonesa (1894-1895), Nobukazu realizó un considerable número de trípticos destacados y se ganó su reputación diseñando escenas de batalla terrestres y marítimas. También produjo litografías.
