渡辺信和
明治の戦争版画で有名
東京の浮世絵師および画家。楊洲周延（1838-1912）の最も優れた弟子と見なされ、美人画（びじんが）から近代化する東京の名所を描いた開化絵まで、多様なジャンルで活動しました。その中には国内勧業博覧会の描写、天皇・皇后の肖像、そして日清戦争や日露戦争の戦争絵（せんそえ）が含まれます。彼は特に戦争絵で知られています。日清戦争（1894-1895年）の間、信一は数多くの優れた三枚続を制作し、陸海戦の場面を描くことで名声を得ました。また、リトグラフも制作しました。
