Watanabe Nobukazu
Famoso por gravuras de guerra
Designer de gravuras e pintor de Tóquio. Considerado o melhor aluno de Yōshū Chikanobu (1838-1912), trabalhou em uma variedade de gêneros, desde imagens de mulheres belas (biinga) até vistas famosas da Tóquio em modernização (kaika-e), incluindo representações de exposições industriais nacionais, retratos do imperador e da imperatriz, e gravuras de guerra sobre as guerras sino-japonesa e russo-japonesa (senso-e). Ele é talvez mais conhecido por suas gravuras de guerra. Durante a guerra sino-japonesa (1894-1895), Nobukazu realizou um número considerável de trípticos notáveis e ganhou reputação ao projetar cenas de batalha terrestres e marítimas. Também produziu litografias.
