Master of daffodils and Jinling landscapes

Wei Ke(魏克), originally named Wei Zhi Ke(魏之克), with the courtesy name Heshou(和叔), was a painter from Jinling (now Nanjing, Jiangsu) during the late Ming and early Qing periods. He was good at landscapes and flowers, especially noted for his daffodil paintings. Along with his brother Wei Zhihuang, he was a representative figure in the Jinling art scene, slightly earlier than the 'Eight Masters of Jinling,' and he also contributed to the making of the 'Shi Zhu Zhai Painting Manual.' Some of his surviving works include 'Four Seasons of Jinling' and 'Imitation Ancient Landscapes of the Four Seasons' scrolls.
