Willem Panneels
Grabador de copias de Rubens
Willem Panneels fue un grabador flamenco que estuvo activo en la primera mitad del siglo XVII. Es conocido principalmente por las copias que realizó de dibujos procedentes del estudio personal de Rubens. Se sabe muy poco sobre su vida personal. Nació alrededor de 1600, probablemente en Amberes. No se conoce ninguna información sobre él hasta su llegada al taller de Rubens en 1624-1625. Cuando dejó el taller de Rubens en 1630, viajó a Colonia, Baden y Fráncfort del Meno. En 1631 permaneció en Maguncia, donde trabajó para el príncipe-obispo Anselm Casimir Wambold von Umstadt. En 1632 continuó su viaje hacia Estrasburgo y, después de esa fecha, los registros históricos guardan silencio sobre él. Se supone que murió alrededor de 1634 en Baden-Baden.
