William Henry Brooke

William Henry Brooke era un artista e illustratore britannico. Era figlio del pittore Henry Brooke e nipote di Henry Brooke, autore di A Fool of Quality. Fu allievo di Samuel Drummond e lavorò come pittore ritrattista. Tra il 1810 e il 1826 espose occasionalmente ritratti e soggetti figurativi alla Royal Academy, ma è meglio conosciuto per le sue illustrazioni di libri. Morì a Chichester nel 1860. Come illustratore, Brooke fu influenzato dall'amico Thomas Stothard. Contribuì alle Irish Melodies di Thomas Moore, all'edizione curata da John Major di The Compleat Angler di Izaak Walton, alla Mythology di Thomas Keightley e ad altre opere.
