Tang master of portraits and landscapes
Yang Sheng(杨昇) (birth and death years unknown) was a painter during the Tang Dynasty. During Emperor Xuanzong's Kaiyuan period, he once served as a painter at the Historical Records Office. He was good at painting people and pavilions, especially skilled in realistic portraits, and also adept at freehand-style landscapes, following the style of Zhang Sengyao. Some of his works include 'Snow After the Storm' and 'Looking at the Worthy Palace,' though few of his pieces have survived to this day.
