Fine, lively lines imitating Gu and Lu

Zhang Dunli(張敦禮), from Fuliang (also called Bianliang), was a painter during the Northern Song Dynasty. In the first year of Xining, he was chosen to marry Princess Qi of Guo, the daughter of Emperor Shenzong, and was granted the titles of Left Guard General and Cavalry Commandant, later becoming the Inspector of Mizhou. He painted figures, trees, and rocks, and imitated the brushwork of Gu and Lu, making his lines fine, tight, and full of life.
