The Dining Room
Carl Larsson invites us into his idyllic Swedish home, where even the dining room feels like a storybook illustration. Notice the charming stained-glass window featuring medieval figures and the French motto above the door: 'Bien faire et laisser dire' (Do well and let them talk). This cozy scene, with its green wainscoting and twisted-leg table, comes from his famous house Lilla Hyttnäs, which he designed with his wife Karin. Their collaborative interior design became so popular it basically defined the 'Swedish style' we know today.
