Las Vegas – fly TWA
1962
David Klein’s 1962 poster captures the dual personality of Las Vegas with a glamorous, elongated model split right down the middle. Her left side is a cool, blue-toned night scene cluttered with roulette wheels, dice, and slot machine cherries, while her right side basks in a warm, sunny orange glow where the sun itself sports a pair of red sunglasses. This iconic design was part of a massive campaign for TWA airlines, selling the jet-set lifestyle to Americans. Klein created over 80 of these vibrant travel posters, essentially defining the visual style of mid-century air travel.
