1937
Set against a backdrop of jagged, snowy peaks, this vibrant 1937 movie poster captures a steamy moment between Hollywood heartthrob Tyrone Power and Olympic figure skating champion Sonja Henie. The Swedish title 'PÅ HAL IS' (On Thin Ice) looms over the couple, while a playful neon-pink sketch of a skater dances across Power's dark coat, hinting at Henie's icy athletic prowess. Created by Eric Rohman, this Art Deco gem perfectly encapsulates the glamorous, high-speed romance of 1930s cinema, proving that even on slippery ice, the chemistry was anything but cold.
