Francesco Curia brings a bustling, almost chaotic energy to this classic biblical scene, far removed from the serene symmetry of Leonardo's famous fresco. Here, the disciples are packed tightly around the table, gesturing wildly and leaning in as Jesus breaks the news of his betrayal. In the background, servants go about their business in the kitchen, completely oblivious to the heavy drama unfolding just a few feet away. This drawing feels less like a holy icon and more like a candid snapshot of a dinner party that just took a serious turn.
