Morgan-Le-Fay by Frederick Sandys, 1864

Meet the ultimate bad girl of Arthurian legend: Morgan Le Fay. In this 1864 Pre-Raphaelite stunner, Frederick Sandys depicts the sorceress in the middle of a deadly plot. Dressed in vibrant green and gold with a leopard skin sash, she is enchanting a magical cloak designed to burn King Arthur to ashes. Notice the loom in the background? That's where she wove her treachery. The model, Keomi Gray, was a professional artist's model who posed for many Pre-Raphaelites, giving Morgan that signature fiery red hair and intense gaze.
