2人のベルン州の搾乳女
Two milkmaids in traditional Bernese dress take center stage in this lively scene, likely heading to market with their goods. One woman balances a large basket on her head with impressive poise while the other pulls a wooden cart, passing a rustic shop where a man in a tricorn hat chats with a vendor. A scruffy dog trots along the path, adding to the bustling, everyday atmosphere of the Swiss countryside. Gottfried Locher captures a charming slice of life here, documenting the specific regional fashion and labor of the Neoclassical era.
