After the Bath
Step into a cozy, rustic interior with Gustav Igler's 'Nach dem Bade' (After the Bath). Here, a mother in a striking red top is carefully drying off her toddler, who stands looking a bit solemn and wrapped in a white towel. A large wooden tub sits nearby piled with colorful laundry, and a fire crackles in the background hearth, suggesting a chilly day that required a warm bath. It’s a sweet, unglamorous slice of daily life that celebrates the quiet, intimate work of parenting over grand historical drama.
