This poster for 'The Artist's Model' features a wide-eyed woman in a loose peach robe, looking upward with an expression of dreamy apprehension. Part of his 'Girls You Know' series for Thomas Edison Studios, the illustration captures the romantic, melodramatic flair of the era. Flagg was a child prodigy who became the highest-paid illustrator in America, and this piece proves he could do much more than just patriotic propaganda.
