树木繁茂的风景
Jules Dupré captures the wild, untamed spirit of nature in this lush landscape sketch, a hallmark of the Romantic movement's obsession with the natural world. Using incredibly textured strokes, he builds up massive, brooding tree canopies that seem to swallow the light, while fallen logs in the foreground hint at the relentless cycle of life and decay in the forest. As a key figure who helped pave the way for the Barbizon School, Dupré preferred working outdoors, bringing a raw, immediate energy to his studies of the French countryside that would later inspire the Impressionists.
