Compositie nr. 4 by László Moholy-Nagy, 1922

László Moholy-Nagy was a key figure at the Bauhaus school who believed art should be as precise as engineering. In this 1922 piece, he creates a dizzying sense of depth using stark white lines that cut through a heavy black void like laser beams. The floating geometric planes and grids look like a blueprint for a futuristic machine or a building that defies gravity. It’s a classic example of Constructivism, turning simple shapes into a dynamic exploration of space and light.
