Imagine an ancient Chinese action movie stretched out over eight meters of silk! This Ming dynasty handscroll by Lu Zhi depicts the fierce deity Erlang Shen leading a heavenly army on a demon-hunting expedition through rugged mountains, where divine warriors and mythical beasts chase terrified spirits into rocky crags. The scene is packed with chaotic, high-energy movement as demons scramble to hide in caves and trees from the god's wrath.
