Adolph Treidler

Adolph Treidler era un artista americano noto per le sue illustrazioni, poster, arte commerciale e poster di propaganda bellica. Le sue copertine di riviste e lavori pubblicitari apparvero su McClure's, Harper's, il Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, Century, Scribner's e il Woman's Home Companion. Creò pubblicità per l'automobile Pierce Arrow e per la French Line. Il suo lavoro pubblicitario degli anni '30 per il Bermuda Board of Trade fu determinante per la promozione del turismo alle Bermuda. Fu presidente della Artist's Guild dal 1936 al 1937. I suoi manifesti di propaganda bellica durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale raffiguravano operaie nelle fabbriche di munizioni per la Campagna di sostegno alla guerra degli Stati Uniti. Creò anche manifesti di propaganda bellica durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Fu presidente del Comitato per la Pubblicità Pittorica della Society of Illustrators, e "produsse almeno cinque manifesti che pubblicizzavano le Women Ordnance Workers, altrimenti note come WOW." Treidler era membro dell'Art Directors' Club, della Society of Illustrators, membro fondatore dell'Artists' Guild e membro a vita della Society of Illustrators. Espose al Whitney Museum di New York nel 1923 e all'Art Institute of Chicago nel 1930.
