フランソワ＝ジョゼフ・ナヴェ
ベルギーの新古典派肖像画家
フランソワ＝ジョゼフ・ナヴェーズはベルギーの新古典主義の画家でした。 Navezはシャルルロワで生まれた。彼はジャック＝ルイ・ダヴィッドの弟子だった。1817年から1822年の間、イタリアで5年間過ごした。1835年から1862年の間、ブリュッセルの王立美術アカデミーの院長を務めた。 彼は非常に成功した肖像画家でした。また、多くの神話や歴史の主題も描きました。 オリエンタリストの画家ジャン＝フランソワ・ポルタエルは彼の生徒（そして義理の息子）でした。 風俗画や室内画を描いたベルギーの画家ジャン・カロルスは、フランソワ＝ジョゼフ・ナヴェの門弟でした。 Navezは1826年にオランダ王立研究所の四級会員に選出され、1841年には定員外準会員となり、1851年に辞任した。1869年にブリュッセルで死去した。
