Giuseppe Passeri
Römischer Barockmaler, Schüler von Maratta
Giuseppe Passeri war ein italienischer Maler des Barock, der in seiner Heimatstadt Rom tätig war. Born the nephew of the painter Giovanni Battista Passeri, Giuseppe trained in the studio of Carlo Maratta. Among the paintings by Giuseppe is St. Peter baptizes the Centurion, transferred to mosaic; the original was moved to a church of the Conventuali in Urbino. Passeri malte von 1700 bis 1703 die zweite Kapelle rechts in der Kirche Santa Caterina a Magnanapoli in Fresko. In derselben Kirche schuf er auch die Altarbilder Die drei Erzengel und Madonna vom Rosenkranz.
