Giuseppe Passeri
Romeins barok schilder, leerling van Maratta
Giuseppe Passeri was een Italiaanse schilder uit de barokperiode, actief in zijn geboortestad Rome. Born the nephew of the painter Giovanni Battista Passeri, Giuseppe trained in the studio of Carlo Maratta. Among the paintings by Giuseppe is St. Peter baptizes the Centurion, transferred to mosaic; the original was moved to a church of the Conventuali in Urbino. Passeri schilderde tussen 1700 en 1703 de tweede kapel aan de rechterkant in de kerk Santa Caterina a Magnanapoli in fresco. In dezelfde kerk schilderde hij ook de altaarstukken De Drie Aartsengelen en Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van de Rozenkrans.
