Hans Baldung

Hans Baldung, llamado Hans Baldung Grien (un apodo temprano debido a su predilección por el color verde), fue un artista de la pintura y el grabado, grabador, dibujante y artista de vidrieras, considerado el alumno más dotado de Albrecht Dürer, cuyo arte pertenece tanto al Renacimiento alemán como al manierismo. A lo largo de su vida, desarrolló un estilo distintivo, lleno de color, expresión e imaginación. Sus talentos eran variados y produjo una gran y extensa variedad de obras, incluidos retratos, xilografías, dibujos, tapices, retablos, vidrieras, alegorías y motivos mitológicos.
