Hans Baldung
Maestro colorato del Rinascimento tedesco
Hans Baldung, detto Hans Baldung Grien (un soprannome precoce dovuto alla sua predilezione per il colore verde), fu un artista pittore e incisore, disegnatore e vetraio, considerato l’allievo più dotato di Albrecht Dürer, la cui arte appartiene sia al Rinascimento tedesco che al Manierismo. Nel corso della sua vita, sviluppò uno stile distintivo, ricco di colore, espressività e immaginazione. I suoi talenti erano svariati e produsse una vasta gamma di opere, tra cui ritratti, xilografie, disegni, arazzi, pale d’altare, vetrate, allegorie e motivi mitologici.
