Aelbert Cuyp was the master of the 'golden hour' long before Instagram filters existed. In this pastoral scene, a maid calmly milks a massive cow while a farmhand in a feathered hat pauses to check us out. Notice how the warm sunlight bathes the animals and the crumbling ruins on the hill? Cuyp specialized in these idyllic Dutch landscapes, often borrowing the Italianate light he saw in other artists' work to make his local countryside look like a dreamy paradise.
