Swedish master Anders Zorn captures himself here in 1916, bundled up in a luxurious fur coat and a heavy hat that casts a shadow over his eyes. The scratchy, energetic lines of this etching give the fur an incredible texture, making you almost feel its weight and warmth against the cold. Created just a few years before his death, it shows an artist still mastering his craft, using quick, confident strokes to convey a rugged presence rather than polished perfection. You can even spot his famous 'AZ' monogram and the date tucked into the bottom left corner.
