1922
Eric Rohman's 1922 poster for the Swedish release of 'Flickorna från Tipperary' (originally titled 'A Corner in Colleens') creates a playful scene of romantic chaos. A man in a baggy grey suit and cap stands center stage with a bewildered expression, his hands in his pockets, while three smiling, red-haired women surround him like admiring ghosts. The bold red typography announces stars Bessie Barriscale and Charles Ray, and intriguingly credits D.W. Griffith as director, highlighting the marketing muscle of the silent film era.
