Pa. German Sugar Tub
1935-1942
Imagine reaching for your morning sugar and finding a masterpiece instead! Ethelbert Brown’s illustration documents a Pennsylvania German sugar tub, featuring that signature reddish-orange faux wood grain and lively green-and-yellow wavy bands. He even included a detailed quarter-view of the lid to show off the concentric circles, capturing the vibrant spirit of early American folk art where everyday objects were treated with artistic flair.
