Scroll of Misty Mountains at Autumn Dawn - Painting Core 1
Step into a misty autumn morning as this long scroll unrolls like a cinematic journey through rugged mountains. Fan Kuan, a giant of the Northern Song Dynasty, fills the scene with craggy peaks and twisted trees—some blushing red for the season—while hiding tiny pavilions and bridges deep in the valleys. It’s the kind of landscape where you’d want to get lost, sipping tea in a secluded hut while the fog rolls in. The horizontal format was designed to be viewed section by section, making the viewer feel like they are actually walking through the scenery.
