Francis Prompt delivers a hilarious slice of mid-century life with this cartoonish illustration of a man who has taken 'putting your feet up' to the extreme. Dressed in a sharp checkered suit, the exhausted gentleman snoozes peacefully in a bright yellow armchair, despite having both his arms and legs heavily wrapped in white casts. A small, wide-eyed black dog with a green collar sits nearby, seemingly wondering if his owner will ever wake up to play. The bold, flat colors and exaggerated features capture a witty moment of domestic absurdity that feels like a lost panel from a classic magazine.
