Spin The Top
In this heartwarming scene, a young girl gently guides a toddler's hands to master a spinning top, their faces glowing with soft, warm light. The intimacy of the moment is charmingly accompanied by a fluffy orange cat on the right, completely absorbed in eating from a pot on the table. Fritz Zuber-Bühler was a Swiss-French master of Academic art, a movement that favored realistic, highly finished paintings often depicting sentimental scenes of daily life. He was particularly famous for these idealized portrayals of children, capturing a sense of innocence that was hugely popular with collectors in the late 19th century.
