カプリ島
Giuseppe Casciaro captures the sun-drenched magic of the Italian island of Capri with a burst of energetic brushstrokes. A whitewashed house peeks shyly through a tangle of twisting tree trunks and vibrant green foliage, while a glimpse of the turquoise sea shimmers on the right. Despite being categorized under realism, the loose, almost impressionistic style feels more like a fleeting memory of a hot summer afternoon than a rigid photograph. Casciaro was a master of light, often painting en plein air to catch those specific dappled shadows dancing on the white walls.
