Streams and Mountains After Autumn Rain Silk Scroll 41x357
Guo Xi, a Northern Song dynasty master, believed landscapes should be 'walkable, viewable, and livable,' and this long scroll invites you to do just that. Notice the mountains that look like rolling clouds—his famous 'cloud-head' texture—and the trees that twist up like crab claws. Unrolling this silk scroll feels like taking a misty autumn hike through a dreamlike world where the earth meets the sky.
