1924
Gustáv Mallý captures a vibrant Slovakian countryside in this 1924 expressionist landscape. The sky is a whirlwind of energetic brushstrokes, swirling with blues and whites that almost overshadow the peaceful scene below where cows graze near rustic haystacks. In the foreground, two figures sit quietly on the grass, seemingly dwarfed by the vast, dramatic sky above them. It's a beautiful snapshot of rural life in Vážec, painted with a loose, almost impressionistic flair that brings the wind and light to life.
