基督受洗
1585
Tintoretto brings his signature 'Il Furioso' energy to this biblical moment, turning a quiet baptism into a dramatic spectacle. John the Baptist stands like a rugged giant, pouring water over a kneeling Christ while a choir of cherubs hovers above, sending down the Holy Spirit as a dove. Notice the onlookers in the background dressed in fancy Renaissance clothes—Tintoretto loved mixing holy scenes with contemporary Venetian fashion. The moody lighting and muscular figures are classic Mannerist touches.
