Autumn Colors over Streams and Mountains (Full Scroll) on silk 23.8x180
Unrolling this long scroll by late Ming master Lan Ying feels like taking a slow, meditative walk through an autumn landscape. On the far right, bold calligraphy declares 'Cheng Huai Guan Dao'—a famous philosophical phrase inviting viewers to clear their minds and observe the Dao. As your eyes travel left, the scene opens up into gentle, rolling hills and sparse trees painted in soft, mineral colors, showcasing Lan Ying's unique blend of traditional styles. The piece concludes with columns of elegant cursive script, perfectly balancing the visual serenity of the mountains with literary reflection.
