Oskar Schlemmer, a master of the Bauhaus school, loved turning humans into living geometry. Here, a figure with fiery red curls sits in rigid profile, looking more like a mannequin or a stage prop than a flesh-and-blood person. The stark contrast between the pale, elongated body and the dark, heavy shapes around it creates a sense of quiet, almost theatrical tension. Schlemmer was obsessed with the relationship between the human body and space, often designing costumes for his famous 'Triadic Ballet' that looked exactly like this—abstract, stylized, and wonderfully strange.
