Alpine Architektur Pl. 1
1919
Bruno Taut dreamed up this cosmic explosion of color in 1919, right after the devastation of World War I, as part of his wildly utopian 'Alpine Architecture' project. Instead of boring blueprints, he created these wild, mandala-like visions of crystal palaces and mountain utopias, enthusiastically shouting 'The spheres! The circles! The wheels!' at the bottom of the page. It's a pure Expressionist fever dream—a total rejection of rigid reality in favor of spiritual, geometric harmony that looks like a psychedelic atom smashing into a flower.
