Alpine Architektur Pl. 3
1919
Bruno Taut dreamed up this crystalline utopia in 1919, right after the devastation of World War I, imagining the Alps transformed into giant, glowing glass cathedrals. The central valley blooms like a flower made of yellow and orange crystal, surrounded by jagged peaks and handwritten German notes describing how the glass walls would shimmer and change color for hikers and pilots alike. This expressionist fantasy, part of his 'Alpine Architecture' series, proposes a spiritual world where nature and futuristic architecture merge perfectly to heal a broken world.
