This is My Affair

1937

Eric Rohman's 1937 poster for This is My Affair (released in Sweden as Mannen hon älskade) perfectly captures the glamorous, larger-than-life aura of Golden Age Hollywood. The bold Art Deco styling features oversized, airbrushed portraits of Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck, their faces glowing against a deep maroon background to sell the ultimate star-crossed romance. Produced by Darryl F. Zanuck for 20th Century Fox, this striking Swedish release poster shows exactly how American cinema was packaged for international audiences with graphic flair.
